What are talents?
Talents consist of special ability boosts and even entire new skills that each class can gain access to over time by spending Talent points. Talents give you another way to customize your character and differentiate yourself from other players of the same class. Players can open the Talent interface by using the Talents button.
What does "Points spent in … Talents" mean?
Example: The Warrior class has three tabs; Protection, Fury, and Arms. If you spend a total of six Talent Points on various abilities in the Protection tab, then the "Points spent in Protection Talents" will read '6'.
To spend points in a specific ability, you must first meet any prerequisites it has first. Any prerequisites that are not being met will appear in red letters inside the tool tip when you mouse over the icon for the ability you wish to purchase. Having points in a specific "Talent Mastery" may be a requirement for a certain ability. If all prerequisites are being met, simply left click on the icon for the ability you want to purchase.
What is the right talent build?
This is something that you should decide for yourself. Despite popular opinion, many different talent builds can be valid based on how you wish to shape your character. There is no such thing as a perfect talent build. We encourage players to explore many possibilities by allowing you to reset your talent build.
